On the occasion of the opening of this year’s cane harvest, a ceremony took place on the 27th of June at the factory of Belle Vue. This annual event was attended by employees of Belle Vue and Terra, representatives of the sugar authorities, planters, and the press.

Before highlighting the events which marked the first part of year 2013 at the factory of Belle Vue, Jean Arthur Pilot-Lagesse, the Managing Director, noted the figures for the past year’s campaign and announced the forecasts for 2013. Prior to the announcement by Mr Cyril Mayer, Managing Director of Terra, of the official opening of the harvest, a number of employees and pensioners received a certificate acknowledging their contribution to the cane segment of the group.
