At Terra, sustainability is embedded in our way of working. Through Terra Act, we unite our people, projects, and partnerships to create a lasting positive impact for society, the environment, and our stakeholders.

Our business model is a benchmark for the circular economy in sugar production, where byproducts from one activity become resources for another. This closed-loop approach boosts efficiency, reduces waste, and strengthens our environmental performance.

To ensure coherence across the Group, we have created a shared sustainability identity (Terra Act) built around 10 key themes aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, from education and biodiversity to energy, water, and responsible production and consumption. Each business cluster defines its own priorities and initiatives within this framework, supported by a decentralised governance model and sustainability committees

A new Group Sustainability department has been created since January 2025 aiming to build-up the group Sustainability strategy, create consistency between the group entities, and making sure we all sharing a common vision. The sustainability department is also a support platform for the companies, driving and supporting the different projects and initiatives across the group.

Responsible Production & Consumption

AMEN GRO PLASTIK NOU FER MAZIK

Upcoming bulk plastic recycling initiative, in partnership with Beau Plan, Mahogany Shopping Promenade, and PIM Recycling, will run from 20 September to 11 October 2025.

Plastic collected will be sorted and transformed locally by Pim Ltd into new products.

One collection point will be set up at Mahogany Shopping Promenade at the spillover car park and will be open every Saturday during the campaign from 9am to 12pm only.

Collections are planned in the villages of Bois Rouge and Pamplemousses to recover large plastic items for recycling on the 27 & 28 September.
